‘Faith to believe by, Faith to Understand, Faith to live in’

Friend, from the first time we heard the gospel, we have been told, Our faith is in the Lord Jesus; whom we don’t see, but choose to believe in as True and have him as our Lord and Savior, brother and friend, now.

In your sinners prayer and confession Some of You were found sincere in the Father’s judgment, and Some weren’t. (You would know if you experienced Spiritual Birth.)

You were both welcomed to the church and you studied the Bible, you read the New Testament over time and learned about Jesus and the Apostles.

Now You are both older and have this to say – I love Jesus as my Lord and savior, brother and friend. OR:  I still believe by faith in Jesus as my Lord and savior, brother and friend.

Speaking from personal experience, I would think it safe to say that both of You are unaware of the doctrine teaching of the “Way’ of Jesus?

“But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh, …But what saith it? The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the Word of faith which we preach…So then, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

In a more modern version called the NIV it says, “faith comes from hearing the message, that comes through the Word of God.”

Let us also consider these words of Jesus to his disciples:

“And whither I go ye know, and the Way ye know. Thomas said unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the Way? The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach thee all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto You.”

A spiritual remembrance of the word of God spoken by Jesus, that we studied, read for information, now becomes a revelation of our Lord Jesus. Thus begins the quest for more Truth, more remembrances, more revelations of Truth that sets us free.

When we repent unto the acknowledging the Truth in/of Jesus, that the Father gives us “remembrances” to, we are then told to abide in Him. Simply means that you now know the Truth that reveals the Mind of Christ Jesus to you, now live by it. And as you submit to doing the Way of Love that the Truth reveals, and abide in it – It will cause you to become transformed. Meaning you are now one with that Love and Truth and being so in incremental steps; until your measure of faith is full of its equal measure of the knowledge of God’s Righteousness. (read 2nd Peter 1:3-11)

Walking in the Way causes us to grow mature in the measure of our faith, where we share the Agape love that the truth reveals in the Mind of Christ Jesus, with others; knowing God’s Agape Love does no harm to its neighbor, and applies to everyone equally.

The fruits of the Spirit: Joy, peace, Love, understanding, goodness , faithfulness, patience, kindness, gentleness, meekness are all found in the walk of the Way of Jesus. The repentant Way that reveals the Way of Love found in every sins alternative motive. To replace the worries, riches and/or pleasures of the world within the flesh, with the confidence, strength and love of Our Lord Jesus.

So, when you begin walking by starting a thread of self-interrogation, asking yourself the question: ’Why do I do that which I know I ought not to do?’ and begin to take thought to the truth of why you sin, and seek the treasure of understanding and Choose Always, to walk in the revealed Way of Love that does no harm to our neighbors and truthfully acknowledged our Lord Jesus thus making are calling and election sure.

And should you indeed find the Understanding of your experiences in the spiritual enlightenment given in the ‘remembrances’ of truth that reveal the Mind- thought, will, and emotion of Jesus, and “make your calling and election sure;” then continue on doing so and you will be seen to be walking in the Way.

“The hour cometh and is now here, when all who worship the Father will worship him in Spirit and in Truth.”

Walking in the Way fulfills this prophesy, then, as well as Now. Thank-you Jesus.

InHim,

JJ
