“Are all religions good?” No!  That was an easy one.

But!!! In this article it was but a prelude to introducing a field of thought that the Jehovah Witness Church wants to captivate your favorable response to, a conclusion based on the Jehovah’s Witness belief orientation.

“Do all roads lead to God?” This one is easy, but because they took the question and tied it to verse…

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”niv (Matt. 7:13-14)

They throw confusion at you – “Was Jesus really saying that some religions lead “to destruction?” Or was he teaching that only unbelievers are on the broad road, whereas those who believe in God – no matter what their religion – are on the narrow road that leads to life?”

There is a road map in the Bible that shows How to find this small gate and narrow road that probably doesn’t even have a street sign. But the roadmap names the route we must take – “The Way.”

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life… More on that as we move along….

Clearly only true born-again believers can walk the Way so as to find the small and narrow road. But to add in, “-no matter what their religion-” is a sure sign of the inability of the JW’s to believe correctly. The Way is not a religion you can pick to say what your itchy ears want to hear.

All who find the Way of the small gate and narrow road, don’t just believe in God the Word our Father in Spirit, they walk in the knowledge of His Love (Agape), and the Understanding of His Truth in Jesus.

And yes, there will be many false prophets. Nice of you to point that out; in life we often warn others against what we don’t want them to find out about ourselves. Jesus, however, said it as a warning which means that only he knew the True teaching. A claim only God the Word Jesus could make.

Again, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life…He knew the Way and his substance was of the Way. Hence if you are walking in the Way, you are walking according to Jesus teaching and you are walking in the spirit of the person of the Way. This will become clear as we move along.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses however don’t believe in the godhood of Jesus and cannot accept this conclusion and have warped the meaning of verse to suit their own beliefs. In the verse given above depicting a narrow road the believer must walk, there can only be one doctrine truth that enables a person to be able to walk on it, and in it!

“There is one body and one spirit–just as you were called to one hope when you were called–one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”niv (Eph. 4:4-6)

Now let us move on to page four, but before I do I would like to comment on your use of different Bible versions. The New Century Version of Matt. 7:15 is acceptable but, Today’s English Version of Matt. 7:21 is not!

We used an NIV earlier, let’s compare these two in verse.

“Not everyone who calls me ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do.” (Today’s English Version)

Next: the NIV

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”niv

Now look At the differences. The Watchtower wants you to see what the Father wants you to do; while the NIV shows what the Father wills you to do.

Elsewhere, if memory serves me correctly, verse says that no one can come to God unless God wills them to come to him. And how would some one who was willed to come to God, come to God? Only by walking in the Way that leads through the small gate onto the narrow road. A Way that is in and of Jesus. Looking at verse we see the Truth of the matter.

“For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”niv (John 6:40)

Are you looking to the Son by walking in the Way in/and of Jesus?

Out of thousands of false doctrine teaching churches, how do we choose the right one? Does one exist? Yes “IF” they are using the Bible and being taught the Truth of the Bible as revealed by the true teacher, the Holy Spirit, or by an end-time prophet. Many of the different Bible Versions allow for this. But Paraphrased Bibles are notoriously inept to do so and so is the “New World Translation Version” put out by the Church of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In their own literature, (i.e. The Watchtower, Awake, etc.) they tell you that “IF” you don’t read this accompanying literature, you will revert over to common Christianity. Thereby declaring that the Holy Bible, with or without a true teacher, is not enough.

A true Bible translation is all you need, but if you want to use other Bible Versions for comparisons of verse, you can. I recommend that the best Bible to get is a “composite” Bible. Specifically one that has The King James Version, The New International Version, The Amplified Bible Version and The American standard Version all on each page of verse. And in my considered opinion, you would do well to reject: “The New World Translation” Bible put out only for those who attend the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church.

Now lets consider the last verse used in this “Introduction article” that is being used to lay the foundation for your acceptance of the remaining article’s teaching.

“A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit.” (Matt. 7:17-18 Contemporary English Version)

Just what are the fruits of the believer? Galatians 5:22-23 says,

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

But The Watchtower says: “Consider just three of the good fruits that the Bible says would identify the good tree.” and on page five, and the first of the articles given after this introduction article, “they” The Watchtower ‘religion’ of The Jehovah’s Witness, promote as a good fruit…

  • First: “High Moral Standards.” which include teachings on Marriage, Divorce, Sexual Morality and Courageously upholding Bible Standards among its members.
  • Second: “Brotherly love” shown by how we act in time of war, politics and prejudice.
  • Third: “Respect for God’s Word” expressed by the non-use of religious titles, nor the worshipping of images or idols.

That’s it…the three so-called fruits of the Jehovah’s Witnesses vs. the fruits of The Spirit as given in Galatians 5:22-23.

As you can see, this publication that takes it upon themselves to teach God’s Word doesn’t even use God’s Word. They promote fruits of ideology, inferring it would be an ideal Godly world if we uphold their standards of morality, brotherly love, respect for God’s Word; and yet don’t even know that a fruitful Christian is a mature Christian. One who knows how to produce People whose will in life is to walk in accordance to the will of Jesus; having His thoughts, will and emotion as their own!

Isn’t that what we were talking about? Learning to walk in the Way of the roadmap that is given in the Bible that allows us to find the small gate and narrow road that leads to life.

How clever of them to obscure the Truth of Scripture with their emotionally charged topics that have no bearing on the Way How we can overcome them or any other such emotionally charged topic one might pick.

How confusing you will be for blindly groping in the dark of not knowing what to do to be a “believer” walking in the Way that leads to the small gate and narrow road beyond, that leads to Life.

How do we flee from sexual immorality, (sin), How do we repent from our sinful ways of the flesh so that we can have an abundant life or a Marriage made in heaven?

No one is perfect. That’s true except for Jesus. He was and is perfect in every instance and He stands before God the Word our Father in Spirit, in heaven making intercession for our sins and claiming his blood as the atoning sacrifice for our sin debt of death. Making our spirit renewed and one with His spirit, drawing us closer and closer into active oneness with Him. Having His Mind, His thoughts, will and emotion. (Amplified Bible 2 Corinthians 2:15-16)

We are not to worry about following the do’s and don’ts of Bible example, we just need to walk in the Way of God’s Love, which is found in the Truth that is in and of Jesus.

To try to come into accordance to Bible standards by practicing the standard without any growth of Understanding, without any repentance that gives revelation of God’s Love to submit to and abide in until it transforms us, is empty of the Truth. And it’s downright impossible to do.

This is why we must watch out for false prophets and teachers in the churches. God wants followers of his spiritual word. People whose will in life is to walk in accordance to His own will; having His thoughts, will and emotion as their own!

“The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: for who has known the Mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him? But we have the Mind of Christ.”niv (I Cor. 2:15-16)

Jesus becomes the Focus of our belief because he lived the Way of Truth unto life that God the Word our Father wants us all to come to, without which there is no other way to come to God except through Jesus.

This is something the Jehovah’s witnesses don’t know how to do. They don’t believe God the Word the Father is the same God the Word Jesus. Nor do they understand how it is we “…put-on the new self created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”niv (Eph. 4:24) they don’t even want to! They would rather fake it!

This is why Jesus is not in their hearts nor are they able to “…be transformed by the renewing of (their) mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.”niv (Romans 12:2)

This is why they disavow Jesus the Word God the Son as being anything more than just a common man and prophet, much like the Muslims. They fail to see God, Father or Son, and warn of false prophets and their false gods. Hence they use their false bible standards as a trophy of accomplishment, and to give it a quasi-validity, they manufacture their own bible version; changed to suit their lies of doctrine.

Had you used their words “want” you would never have seen God’s “will” in verse, nor of Jesus’ importance. You would still be trying to live up to the do’s and don’ts of the letter, while failing to resolve them in the spirit. The letter kills but the spirit gives life!

Developing your spirituality is the way of the “Way“, and in it are the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

From these fruits come the ability to flee immorality, repent from our sins and have a truly loving marriage. That’s our faithfulness in action through choice and submission, abiding and transformation, aware to the life of love in Truth.

Spiritual choices need spiritual discernment. That only comes as we come into our own by the transformation of our minds and know the Truth that sets us free to walk in God’s “Agape” Love.

How do we do this? If you have been reading my articles you would have an idea of how this is done; yet I will show you the Way again and hope that you will discern the truth of it.

First, Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:all

“…3 Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”niv

This is very important. Not only to what it leads to in verse five, but because but you need to see what a plank and a speck of sawdust is.

They are a single sin related incident identity. A fancy way of saying they are the same sin identity. I call you a thief, I’m a thief; they are the same, but when I look at your thievery all I see is the appearance. But when I look at my own incidental thievery I see reasons for it. I need money for my rent, to feed my family, to buy my drugs, my whatever!

Suddenly I’m not such a bad guy, if only I didn’t have this addiction, vice, or desire for life’s “worries, riches and/or pleasures.”

A Plank…definitely a plank. We weren’t so generous with our “passing of judgment” on the other guy now were we? We didn’t consider his reasons for sinning.

That’s why Jesus said:

“You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”niv (Matthew 7:5)

The “Hidden Wisdom” in this verse sees that this judgmental attitude is not so much that we have the same sin, or that when we try to stop our sins we find, that even with the Spirit of God to help us acknowledge the Truth, that all of our excuses are not valid excuses because we are blaming someone other than ourselves, or we are not looking hard enough for the truth that allows for us to discern the loving alternative that we need to find and submit to until it transforms us in mind as well as spirit.

Anyone who begins to “…by the spirit, you put to death the misdeeds of the body,…” niv (Romans 8:13) finds that even with the spirit of God, it is so very hard to do; to “look intently into the perfect law of Love.”niv; so that we can learn to have the understanding that the struggle/failure ratio is near to 1 to 1. And if it’s that hard for us, who are born-again, and have the Holy Spirit, then the person that we call thief, who may not know the monumental experience of salvation, may not know How to “put to death the misdeeds of his or her body. And if that is so, then he or she also doesn’t know the man and God who died so that by His resurrection he  could reveal the Love of our True Father God the Word in spirit.

Luke 10:22 Jesus says,

“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”niv

John 17:25-26 Jesus says,

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”niv

See our common true faith: we walk in the Way by proper repentance, asking ourselves, ‘why do I do the sin I don’t want to do?’ this leads to the finding of truth and reveals, we ALL sin and don’t mature because we try to satisfy our desires for either a worry riches and/or pleasure, and don’t even look for the motive why so we can ‘see’ God’s loving Way and choose to change in submitting, abiding and being transformed.

If we are trying to know God the Word our Father in a life where we are to be sons and daughters of Him, we must look to the excuses we give ourselves for our sins because a loving alternative can be found for each one of them.

Thus a choice is now seen, and if you choose the way of love, first revealed by your hearts yearning, simultaneously you will receive The Holy Spirit and all the fullness of the measure of your faith will be given in God’s Love.

For some this feeling is intense. For others it may be a peaceful calm embrace. To our mutual shame we soon lose this taste of a moment of God’s love.

What happened?

First, you were repenting of a chosen sin by asking yourself what reasons you have for having it. Finding and being found in simultaneous rebirth, your spirit bore witness to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

When we realize it’s gone…where it went, where it came from we do not know. But we do know “Repentance leadeth to salvation.”

This foundation of “faithfulness” (knowledge of Understanding),over time, will become a stern conviction for our belief in Jesus because, even though I can’t see Him, I CAN see the love of God the Word our Father in Spirit, through Him!

The Way of Repentance uses sin as a stepping stone…step on your sin, push it deep into the muck, take a step into the knowledge of God’s Righteousness.

The Way is discussed in the Bible and personally proven by each person who comes to God through Jesus.

When we are done with the nurturing period, (possibly 41.6 years), of coming into the knowledge of the Son of God, we will see to discern that anyone of sound mind can Repent unto salvation and then continue to repent to come into the Mind of Christ Jesus; where His thoughts, will and emotion can be one with ours. His thoughts, will and emotions become ours by choice and transformation. Unless they refuse to avail themselves of their Freedom of choice, our first gift.

But, heh!! If you want to let someone else dictate your reality and give you a moral standard that falls short of God’s will…then you can do so and end up lost! Like the JW’s.

See the secret of Matthew 7:3-5… “FIRST…take the plank out of your own eye, AND THEN…you…will…see…clearly…to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”niv

And what will you SEE CLEARLY? You will see that only God can remove your sin, and he can only do that if YOU First cast the Speck from your own eye! in the repentance that leads to the acknowledgment of Truth in/of Jesus.

Repentance, first for salvation, then Sin by sin by sin, find the love of God in increasing measure of your understanding of Truth for:

“Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”niv (Romans 13:10) and applies to everyone equally.

What better marriage can there be than one in which both of you are self-improving, sensory understanding, filled with the fruits of the Spirit in “increasing measure?”niv (2 Peter 1:3-11)

True Christian worship and morality is very personal and self-revealing. The Kingdom of Heaven truly is to be found within. Find it, and take your freedom away from the religiosity of any person or Church who thinks Jesus is no more than just a man and/or prophet. Jesus was and IS, God the Word and became the man Jesus. The same Word that is God the Word our Father in Spirit.

Grow and give praise, walk in the Way of Love, a Way that was once despised and zealously persecuted by Paul before God the Word Jesus changed his life forever on the road to Damascus. (Acts 22:4-5)

Give thanks to God the Word our Father by joining with Him through the spirit of His holiness and righteousness found only in Jesus the Word his Son in the flesh.

Life goes on…did any of this get through to you? Did any of you give one “right-on”? Are you ready to make your commitment to move in repentance?

You know where to find me…here, in the articles kept  under “WorksbyJJ” or in my books on “amazon.com” – “God’s Prisoner” and “The Authorized Book of Short Christian Stories” Or “Authorized or not You need to read this”. Read them, do learn to walk in the Way.

If you are lazy, then know that a lazy man cannot make it into heaven. You must move to repent unto salvation and then you must continue to repent for increasing measure of understanding.  If it be by any other outside influences, clogging your mind and “pressing” upon you to go their way which is really no way at all, then they stand accursed by the Word to suffer twice the agony of Hell.

Sorry, Jehovah’s Witnesses, you lose! Kick rocks…unless you want to know the real deal. And that Way is: Jesus! If so, stick around, but don’t let your church find out that you are entertaining such ideas. They don’t like that.

As for the other answer to “What happened?”

What happened to the love you knew when you first believed? It was simply covered up by the thoughts will and emotions of your worldly mind.

The spirit is still pure within you, if you are his by salvation, and it will allow for Jesus to raise you up at the last day; where what you can now know only in part, then you shall know in full even as you become fully known in Christ, one with God the Word our Father, in Spirit.

“Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts….” niv (Heb. 4:7)

In Him,

J.J.
